Llorar, in red and without hiding
The face, the background, the lettering: everything is tinted red. A guy looks at the camera with wet eyes and tears running down his cheeks, without covering up, without looking away. It's a cover that leaves no room to look the other way.
The title is a verb in the infinitive, nothing more. Llorar. To cry. Not why, not for whom, not until when. Just the action, like an instruction or like permission. And I like that, because many boys were taught exactly the opposite, that crying was something done in secret. This cover does it head-on and in capital letters.
The red isn't accidental either. Far from the grey of melancholy, it's the colour of rage, of love, of the open wound. These tears may be of sorrow, but also of fury or relief.
Listen to it when you need to let it all out. And if it catches you with wet eyes, all the better.
