Goodbye: a single tear and closed eyes
A tear. Just one, running down the cheek of a guy with his eyes closed and his head tilted back, as if he were taking the blow or finally letting it go. Everything in black and white except the word that explains it all, Goodbye, in a soft pink that almost looks like a caress.
I like that the cover doesn't overdramatise. There are no suitcases, no doors closing, nobody walking away down a corridor. There's the moment just after: when goodbye has already been said and the body is left processing it. The cross-shaped earring, the neck tattoos, the tousled hair. Details of someone left alone with their own skin.
Some goodbyes are shouted and others are breathed. This one has every sign of being the second kind.
Listen to it when you need to close something without making a sound, or when you want to cry a little without anyone asking why.
