¡Vaya director!: a luxury row under the chandelier
Chandeliers, a marble counter, a gold reception bell... and in the middle of all that luxury, a monumental fit of anger. That's the cover of ¡Vaya director! (Some Manager!), and I'll tell you now that it doesn't look like a calm customer-service scene.
On one side, a suited, grey-haired gentleman with an expression of not understanding a thing, his hands open as if asking for calm. On the other, me in a red brocade jacket with my finger pointing straight at his face. If looks could kill, the poor man wouldn't make it to the end of his shift. The yellow letters of the title complete the comic-book feeling, like a panel mid-explosion.
The title says it all with two words and an exclamation mark. ¡Vaya director! is what you blurt out when the boss, the manager or whoever's in charge that day proves the job is far too big for them. That phrase said with your eyes rolling and your bag already over your shoulder.
I invite you to listen to it and imagine the whole scene: what has happened in that hotel, who's right and how the row ends. I'm sure some manager who deserves the song comes to your mind too.
