Una ilusión, at the edge of the cliff
Eyes closed, head bowed. The cover of Una ilusión (A Hope) is that of someone suffering in silence, sitting in front of the sea in a purple check suit with the shirt open over a tattooed chest.
Behind, a green cliff dropping into the water, a sky heavy with clouds and a little sunset light and, high up, the ruins of a castle. The image has torn, scratched edges, like a photograph kept in a wallet for a long time. Everything is elegant and sad at once, with that perfect quiff contrasting with a gesture of defeat.
The title speaks of an «ilusión», singular, a hope or a dream, and the image makes you think of something awaited or something lost. I won't tell you which. Listen to it calmly, ideally at the end of the day, when the house has gone quiet.
