Tus Fotopollas: a neon motel full of Polaroids
Some titles leave no room for misunderstanding, and Tus Fotopollas (Your Dick Pics) is probably the clearest on the whole planet. Anyone with a dating app on their phone knows what it's about without any explanation.
The cover moves it to a roadside motel. A neon sign saying Paradise Motel with its little palm tree, another announcing no vacancies, a pool and free movies. An old TV with nothing but static on the screen. And sitting on the bed, a guy in a pink leather jacket with his chest bare, a look of infinite boredom, while Polaroids rain down around him.
They're everywhere: on the bedspread, on the floor, flying through the air. And in the bottom corner, some of them are burning.
That gesture really makes me laugh. It's the exact image of someone fed up with photos nobody asked for who has already decided what to do with them.
