Stars Cibernéticas: floating in space in a metallic blue suit
Total weightlessness. On the cover of «Stars Cibernéticas» (Cybernetic Stars) a guy floats above the Earth with his arms open and his feet bare, dressed in a metallic blue outfit that shines like patent leather. Around him, planets, stars and pink neon trails crossing the sky. The title letters, chrome and gradient, look like they're from an eighties video game.
I love the title because it mixes two languages and two worlds: the good old stars and the cybernetic, things with cables and screens. Stars of digital glitter, divas shining from another galaxy.
PLANETA GAYFOLK has always had a calling for space, so this cover feels like home, just a few light years away. No gravity applies here, neither to bodies nor to prejudices.
Ideal with headphones, at night, looking out of the bus window as if it were a spaceship hatch.
