Otra pandemia: a pink mohawk and the end of the world in fuchsia
A city in ruins, columns of smoke and a huge red sun in a fuchsia-tinted sky. In the foreground, a guy with a pink punk mohawk, a black fringed jacket and a patch on his arm showing a skull wearing a gas mask. He looks over his shoulder, with the face of someone who has survived something. The cover of «Otra pandemia» (Another Pandemic) is a low-budget movie end of the world, but with tons of style.
The title has a touch of being fed up that anyone who went through the lockdowns will recognise. Another one? Seriously? That mix of weariness and sarcasm is very much this planet, where we'd rather laugh at disaster than let it sink us.
The punk aesthetic gives it rage and attitude. Nobody hides at home in fear here: you go out into the ruins with your mohawk held high.
For when the news gets you down: turn up the volume and switch off the TV.
