Mitad Venezuela, mitad Pakistán: a cover split in two
One face, two colours. The cover of Mitad Venezuela, mitad Pakistán (Half Venezuela, half Pakistan) is cut right down the middle: the left half bathed in electric blue, the right in a very intense bubblegum pink. The same face, the same fur coat, the same chain with a cross, but each side seems to live in a different climate.
Behind it, black wings peek out, like a nightclub fallen angel, and the title appears in graffiti lettering, split by a slash. I like to think of that image as a question with no closed answer: where are you from when you're from two places at once, or from neither completely?
The title plays with two countries very far apart and sticks them together in a single phrase, with that mix of cheek and mischief the GAYFOLK planet has. What's inside the song I'll leave for when you hit play, preferably with the volume up.
