Green Fire: a green bonfire in the middle of the night

The flames are green. Not orange or red: green, as if someone had thrown something strange onto the fire. Beside the bonfire, at night and in front of a cabin with a light on, a guy in a black leather jacket with his chest bare lets out a puff of smoke with his eyes half closed.

The image has something of a night-time Western and something of a ritual. Green fire has always been the stuff of witchcraft, of potions, of what can't quite be explained. And the title plays on that double reading: green fire can be magic, it can be weed burning slowly or it can be a desire that isn't the usual colour. Better that the cover doesn't clarify which.

It's a song for nights in the countryside, the ones when the group stays around the fire until the embers die and nobody wants to be the first to go to bed.

Come closer to the fire and listen to it.
