El Día Más Ideal: a pink sunset and a Cadillac by the sea
Pink, cream and gold. If El Día Más Ideal (The Most Ideal Day) had a colour palette, it would be exactly the one on its cover.
A guy walks towards the camera in a cream linen shirt and trousers, the shirt open in the wind showing a tattoo on his chest, a brown belt and loafers. Behind him, parked by the sea, a pink Cadillac convertible with a number plate that just says SAINT. In the background, palm trees, little white houses on the coast and a sun setting slowly.
Everything conveys calm and a bit of glamour from another era, like a seventies summer on a postcard coast. No drama, no exes. It's the image of someone who, for once, is having the day they deserve.
The title plays with that slightly naive and very lovely idea: that a perfect day exists, and that we'll know how to recognise it when it comes.
Save it for a sunny Sunday, with the windows down or your feet in the sand.
