El concurso literario: a retro poster in pink

Pink on pink, with big old-poster lettering. El concurso literario (The Literary Contest) has a cover that looks torn off a wall from the seventies.

In the image I appear on the right, hair tousled, a few days' stubble, an earring and a light pink shirt hanging open to show a large tattoo on my chest. I'm not looking at the camera: I'm glancing sideways, with an expression somewhere between suspicion and patience. On the left, over a big circle of a more intense pink, the title takes up almost all the space in tall, narrow letters, like the festival posters of old. The paper even shows some wear at the edges.

I really like that glance. It's the face of someone listening to something that doesn't convince them, or waiting for a verdict. And with a title like that, the question is inevitable: who entered the contest? Who won it? And what happened to those who didn't?

The contest rules, so to speak, are in the song. I recommend listening with a notebook nearby, in case you get the urge to write.
