Casting: retro horror with a quiff, a platinum blonde and a knife
A haunted house on top of a hill, a full moon between the clouds and, in the foreground, the whole cast of an old-school scary movie: a platinum blonde in a white dress and red lips, a frightened guy with a scratch on his face, a hooded masked man with a bloody knife and, in the centre, the hero with a quiff and an open shirt, looking at the camera like he knows more than anyone. The cover of «Casting» is a retro horror film poster, creases and all.
The title plays with exactly that. A casting is choosing who plays each part, and here it seems the cast is already settled. The fun is wondering who's the victim, who's the killer and who was just passing by.
The image is a very affectionate homage to that B-movie horror that makes you laugh more than it scares you.
Save it for a movie night with friends, between popcorn and screams.
