Can't Wait: the neon dance floor is already lit
Pink, blue, yellow and purple neon tubes in a dark corridor, a wet floor reflecting everything and, in the centre, a guy dancing with his eyes closed and a finger pointing up. His black patent-leather jacket has built-in light strips, as if he himself were part of the installation. The cover of «Can't Wait» is a club night frozen at its best second.
The title is pure impatience. For the party to start, for that person to arrive, for the track you've been dying to dance to all week to come on. The pink and yellow brush-stroke letters carry that rush.
I like the face of the person dancing in the photo. He isn't posing: he's doing his own thing, enjoying it, not looking at anyone.
While you get ready, when the taxi is late or when you're already in the club queue counting the minutes.
